According to a new study with input from more than 400 scientists from simple activities such as gardening or talking to neighbors serve to protect mental health. And a program of “five daily activities” can promote physical and mental health.
The study called Mental Capital and wellbeing, determined to stay well, people should try to connect with others, be active, enjoy the surroundings, keep learning and link to their neighborhood.
The small welfare gains diminish mental health problems. Specifically, the “Five Steps to Happiness” proposed by scientists are:
* Login: develop good relationships with family, friends, colleagues and neighbors. This will enrich your life and you will be accompanied.
* Be active, do sports, take time for hobbies like Bali or gardening. Or a simple walk will make you feel good.
* It is curious be amazed by the beauty everyday.
* Learn: try to learn new things like fixing a bike or learning to play an instrument. Such challenges mean satisfaction, fun and confidence.
* Give: Helping friends or your neighbors, it connects you and make you feel useful and happy. Something as simple as spend a little of your time to others can be helpful.
