1. Salt
Salt is the enemy of our bones because it generates calcium losses. For every 2300 milligrams of sodium you eat, you lose about 40 milligrams of calcium, and that, ultimately, hurts the consistency of our bones that makes them weaker.

2. Refreshments
The fizz in carbonated beverages often comes from phosphoric acid and this substance increases the rate at which calcium is excreted in the urine. This acceleration hurts our calcium levels so that soft drinks should be taken sparingly, and knowing that are not at all beneficial to our health.

3. Caffeine
Caffeine is not as bad as the salt, but similarly affects the calcium in our bones. For every 100 milligrams of caffeine (the amount of a small cup) lost 6 milligrams of calcium. These figures are not alarming but can become a problem if not taken into account and caffeine drinks frequently.

4. Alcohol
Alcohol acts as a calcium blocker as it prevents is well absorbed by the body. Excessive alcohol consumption disturbing the bone remodeling process and return our bones weaker.

5. Hydrogenated oils
Recent studies have found that the hydrogenation process used to prepare bakery products destroys vitamin K that is found naturally in oils. This vitamin K is essential for strong bones and therefore hydrogenated oils violate our skeletal system.

Knowing that these foods are detrimental to the welfare of our bones and our overall health, we must try to eat them in moderation, taking care not to fall into excesses that end up weakening our skeletal system.
