Sleep Tight: Is Dream Water for Real?

InsomniaThe average adult needs between seven and nine hours of quality sleep each night in order to be fully prepared to take on the day. However, as many as 70 million people suffer from a sleep disorder (or more than one!) that keeps them from getting the sleep their bodies and minds so desperately need. Therefore, it follows that millions of people are looking for ways to get a better night’s sleep.

There are many different types of sleep aids out there, and one of the newest may puzzle you. It’s called Dream Water.

Dream Water is a zero-calorie drink that consists of three main ingredients (Gamma-Amino Butryic Acid or GABA, melatonin, and 5-HTP) which are meant to work together to help you sleep. According to Dream Water’s website, GABA helps you to relax while reducing any anxiety that you may feel. Melatonin helps you to actually fall asleep, and 5 HTP helps you to get quality sleep. But does it work?

There are tons of reviews of Dream Water on the Internet. The majority that we’ve been able to find are positive. There are about a dozen reviews on Dream Water’s website (all of which are positive, obviously), and a few of them make some really great observations about the sleep aid.

For example, a woman named Emily from Charlotte, North Carolina, admits that she was skeptical about trying Dream Water but that she was “pleasantly surprised” with it. Emily reports that the water took a mere 20 minutes to kick in and that the next day, she wasn’t even groggy. Ken, from Houston, Texas, states that he doesn’t want to take sleep medications. He says that he likes “that the ingredients are natural and I don’t have to be worried about getting addicted to medications.”

There are also several independent bloggers that have reviewed Dream Water’s website. Hyouten’s Reviews posted a series of blog posts centered around Dream Water. The reviewer was extremely honest about her first impressions, admitting that she was skeptical and wasn’t looking forward to trying the water out. However, she goes on to state that Dream Water took approximately 15 to 20 minutes to make her drowsy. She stayed up as long as she could, saying that “the drink did not knock me down as I was expecting it to.” In conclusion, the reviewer honestly states that she wouldn’t recommend Dream Water.

But the real truth is that people react to things differently. Our take? Try Dream Water for yourself—and leave a comment letting us know what you thought!
